Since training with Andrew I have seen so much progress in what feels like such a short time. At the start of our training, I found myself super out of breath after every exercise and barely having the strength to get through the work out.​After 8 weeks of consistent training I can now say that I feel so much stronger than before. Andrew has helped create a workout plan that challenges my endurance and strength while also making sure it is doable for me in terms of where I am at. In addition to training with Andrew I have had his help in changing my diet and daily habits. It has made all the difference. Thanks to AO Training I am on my way to maintaining a healthier lifestyle!

My story: At age 70ish, I started to take health and wellness more seriously. I’d never been particularly exercise conscious or very athletic, but thought it was about time I get my act together, so I joined an expensive gym and started with a personal trainer.
Training was expensive, so I started putting together a small gym in my garage. One of those units that are all-in-one, and had my trainer come over to the house twice a week. Little by little, I added free weights, a bench, etc. That went well, until my trainer moved out of the area. That lead to a series on “trainers”, who went through the motions, and did little else. I felt that I was wasting my time and money. The quality and attentiveness of these professionals was lacking, so I lost interest in training …
… until one day, I was mailing a package at the local post office and saw this guy that looked and moved like a trainer. I tapped him on the shoulder and asked … “excuse me, are you a personal trainer?” Enter Andrew O’Brien.
That was the start. It’s been over 2 years and Andrew has been the biggest positive influence in my life. He does not go through the motions. At 81, I have my good days and my bad days, back pain, shoulder pain, fatigue, etc., but Andrew designs every exercise carefully, evaluating the cause and effect it will have on my body.
The truth is, I feel better than I ever have in my life. I’m more flexible, stronger, pain free. My balance has improved. My mental health has improved. The more I do, the more I want to do, and I look forward to each upcoming session. There’s a casual interaction during the sessions that makes working out fun. I never thought I’d say those words!!
